The Exile just where have you been banished to? Another Planet? Lanzini returned earlier than expected from a potentially threatening ACL injury. Was expected to be out the whole season. Returns in time to play 10 games scores 1 and gets 1 assist. Hardly matches your description does it. Ok he is not yet back to his best but hopefully he soon will be next season. He is already better than Dack who is as yet unproven in the top fight.

ExWHU has recently linked us as holding firm interest in Mitrovic, Shelvey, Lascelles, and Hayden at Newcastle.

Gomes likely to be a busted flush given Celta look like staying up in La Liga meaning his price stays up at 40m.

Three players needed...Centre Forward, Centre Mid Box to Box type, and another quality Centre Back.

Beyond that a backup keeper and replacement of any first team squad that leaves (e.g. Left Back if either Cresswell of Masuaku departs, though suspect that won't be priority).

Remember when Southampton had berkovic on loan? And we swooped in and bought him before they did?

That’s what we need to be doing with tielmans

As others have said, the only players I would be unhappy at leaving would be Fabianski, Balbuena, Diop, Rice.

Anyone else we sell, as long as we bring in better then I'm fine.

Gustavo CUELLAR from Flamengo.

Cuellar is expected to sign West Ham in July after the Copa America. It's all settled but nothing signed up here. Player will receive 2 million euros of gloves, and 28 million euros will be paid in 3 installments. The athlete stays until December in Fla. # Futgloboradio

I know absolutely nothing about him.

easthammer - if you're happy with no more than half a season of decent form from Lanzini that's up to you. Personally I have no doubt that Dack would be a big improvement. He has just the kind of strength and dynamism that our midfield is crying out for, and a superb eye for goal.

I would take Dack and if they want Rose out and Masuaku in then swap deal would do.

AC, Hernadez, Perez, Nasri, Adrian all pretty much gone.

I watched Dack for Blackburn v Norwich & he looked a bit fat slow and lazy to me.
Like Knockaert at Brighton who was a Championship star but didn’t work enough for the Premier league
Am happy to be persuaded otherwise

Deal agreed to bring in Colombian midfielder

South American journalist Gustavo Henrique Dando Choque claims that a deal has been done by West Ham in principle to sign Colombian midfielder Gustavo Cuéllar Gallego.

The 26-year old plays Brazilian side Flamengo and the local reporter says Callego will sign a contract with West Ham in July after the Copa América. He claims the deal is all settled between the two clubs but not signed. The player will receive two million euros (£1.7m Signing on fee), and Flamengo will receive a 28 million euros transfer fee (£24.3m) which will be paid in 3 instalments. The player could stay with Flamengo until December according to the report by Gustavo.

Gallego joined Flamengo in January 2017 for £1.62m from Deportivo Cali. In June 2018 Cuéllar extended his contract with Flamengo until June 2022, this new contract raised his release clause from €50m to €70m.

Gustavo played for Colombia U17 in the 2009 FIFA U-17 World Cup, he appeared in all seven matches and scored two goals, both against the Gambia in a 2-2 draw, as the team finished the tournament in fourth place. He also represented Colombia U20 in the 2011 South American U-20 Championship, he had five appearances and the team finished the tournament in the sixth place.

In 2015 Gustavo debuted for Colombia’s first team as a starter in a 1-1 draw against Peru.

Looks like a total yard dog. Could see a few yellows for Mr Gallego.

Dack over Lanzini?

hahaha it doesn't beat the "we're a bigger draw than Man Utd for players" that I was told on here yesterday though.

West Ham want to sign David Okereke

Dan Coombs

West Ham are reportedly keen on a move for David Okereke.

Tuttomercatoweb report the Hammers have joined the race to sign Okereke, who has impressed at Serie B side Spezia.

Okereke is just 21, and is the club's top scorer with 10 goals in 30 games.

The report states West Ham have been closely watching Okereke and their interest could develop into something more substantial in the coming weeks.

Okereke came through Spezia's academy and made his first team debut three years ago.

The young forward has been linked with a move to England before.

In January he was claimed by Tuttomercatoweb to be interesting Crystal Palace, along with Belgian side Standard Liege.

I suppose with a South American manager and recruitment manager/scout we will see an increasing number of lads from that region coming in? Makes sense as Hussilos and Pellegrini probably have insights on players from that region that other clubs do not.

Balbuena has worked out so lets hope there are more like him. We have Zab and Lanzini and that Tevez chap did quite well for the short time he was here.

He did get into the 35 man squad, but not into the final 23.

That Gallego looks like the player we need. Mobile and touch in the tackle. Perfect player to sit in with Rice / Noble.

Did'nt Carlos Sanchez make the World Cup squad for Colombia?

If so, we already have the better midfielder out of the two..

Re: Summer Transfer window rumours/discussion thread.
That is not necessarily true though is it deal... I mean Trippier was picked ahead of Alexander-Arnold so the manager's choice is not always correct
